Yayasan Pembangunan Pendidikan India Negeri Perak distributed exercise books to 50 students from five schools here recently. 

They were presented by the Chairman of Human Resources Health Indian Community Affairs and National Integration Datuk A.Sivanesan Committee at Dewan Serbaguna,SUK.

Each of the pupils received 10 books each. The children were also accompanied by their teachers and parents.

The Yayasan had earlier presented  the books totalling of  11,662 pupils from 134 schools in the state throughout the year.

The state government had allocated 800 hectares of land in 2011 for development of 134 Tamil schools to the Yayasan which was registered in 2013.

Income from cash crops cultivated on the land by the Yayasan were to be utilised for assistance to the schools and pupils. .

Also present was Yayasan Chairman Munuyandi Shonmugam and other officials.
