The Ipoh City Council working with Econsave again carried out a corporate social responsibility (CSR) project in Ipoh yesterday.

This time around they presented food baskets to an orphanage in the city.

Pusat Jagaan Anak Anak Yatim Yaasin in Taman Cempaka received the food aid worth RM1,500.

On hand was Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin accompanied by Econsave manager for Jelapang branch, Shah Effendy Rosman along with Econsave Jelapang 2 branch manager, Ooi Kean Hock.

Present to receive the food baskets was the orphanage manager Norizan Razali.

“We hope that the food assistance will go a long way to ease the burden of the orphanage during these difficult times. The project is under the MBI Prihatin campaign which started last year,” said Rumaizi.

Bravo, Ipoh City Council and Econsave for stepping up to help the underprivileged in Ipoh City.
