Canon Marketing Malaysia signeda Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tourism Perak to offer further boost to the up-coming Visit Perak Year 2024

The ceremony was witnessed by YB Loh Sze Yee, State Exco Tourism, Industry, Investment & Corridor Development Of Perak, YB Loh Sze Yee.

Through the MOU, both parties will join forces for the upcoming “Visit Perak Year 2024” campaign. This strategic collaboration aims to bolster Perak’s tourism industry and leverage Canon’s imaging solutions to draw visitors, both domestic and foreign, to Perak and promote it as a premier destination. 

Canon will play a pivotal role as the strategic partner and sponsor for TPMB’s “Visit Perak Year 2024” campaign, united by the mutual goal to revitalise Perak’s tourism industry and establish it as the foremost destination in Malaysia for heritage- and nature-based experiences and touring holidays. 

The MOU will see Canon closely collaborating with TPMB, leveraging Canon’s expansive reach to actively engage potential travellers. The partnership extends beyond mere sponsorship, encompassing collaborations on workshops, competitions, and the provision of Canon cameras as prizes for upcoming competitions and for TPMB’s use.

Shunji Yoshikai, President and CEO of Canon Marketing Malaysia, stated, “We are eager to work hand-in-hand with TPMB to showcase Perak’s charm and allure to the world. The signing of the MOA embodies our corporate philosophy of ‘Kyosei’, which emphasises living and working harmoniously for the common good. Nurmalis Musa, Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Perak Management Berhad, shared her thoughts on the collaboration, saying, “This collaboration signifies a unified effort to promote Perak’s beauty. Together with Canon, we aim to captivate audiences worldwide and invite travellers to experience the treasures Perak has to offer.”

The MOU, spanning 12 months, is a commitment to mutual growth and the promotion of Perak’s rich tourism portfolio. To stimulate creativity and engagement, Canon and TPMB will co-host photography and videography competitions, along with tailor-made workshops for Perak’s industry participants. These initiatives aim to illuminate Perak’s captivating narrative through visual storytelling, fostering a deeper appreciation of its diverse cultural heritage and captivating attractions.

By unifying innovation with the art of storytelling, this collaboration seeks to highlight Perak’s cultural and natural wonders, inviting the world to discover and cherish the uniqueness that Perak carries. The alliance between Canon and TPMB marks a strategic stride in rejuvenating the state’s tourism sector and beckons explorers to discover Perak’s hidden gems.
