Despite the pandemic, Perak achieved second ranking for the number of domestic tourists arrivals in 2020.

This is according to a survey carried out by the Statistic Department that showed that 13.17 tourists visited the state spending 3.8Billion. Thus ranking only after Selangor.

According to state exco for Housing, Local Government and Tourism, Dato’ Nolee Ashilin Mohammed Radzi, Perak is still a popular state for domestic travelers in the country.

“As Perak is in the Phase 2 of the National Recovery Plan, the state will take several initiatives for the revival of the tourism industry.

“We will also ramp up the vaccination for the tourism industry players by Sept 2021,” she added.

Other initiatives include the relaunching of travel; vouchers (TravelPerakLah), promotions on FB, Twitter and Instagram, Webinar sessions.

Other events include the Ipoh Music Symposium 2021,The Taste of Perak 2021, and the Pangkor Endurance.

Also in the pipeline is a music video to be launched in December 2021.
